Moreover we have some spots in following workcamps:

1)DE-SCI 07.20 Children city on the border (Görlitz) 02/07/2016 - 16/07/2016

Volunteers will support children in their “professions and services” (theatre, bakery, hospital, pub, beauty-shop etc.).
On a central place of Görlitz a city with huts and tents will be constructed, where the young citizens will live and work.
When the children enter the city, they have to register in “Our City”, go to the labour office and work in a profession.
No matter, whether they will work as fire fighters, bakers, policemen or nurses,
the young citizens will get an impression about the real-world professions.
The citizens will also earn money which they can spend in free time activities,
services and other products which will be offered by other citizens.

and motivation to do gardening work on a beatiful lake in the south of Germany.

3) DE-SCI 11.40 100% Sustainable Lifestyle I (Bernkastel-Kues) (16/7/2016 - 31/7/2016)

4) DE-SCI 13.65 Alternative sustainable lifestyle (near Kassel) (11/7/2016 - 21/7/2016)
During the study camp participants will mainly focus on structures of communal living with permaculture principles.

Some practical work will be organized in commune’s collective projects,
such as work in an organic garden and/or commune’s organic dairy farm.

5) DE-SCI 07.16 Life in Children’s City (Magdeburg) (21/7/2016 - 7/8/2016)
The children’s city Elberado is a miniature park. For ten days ca. 400 kids (aged 8 to 14 years) take over Elberado.
They make the decisions, go to work, enjoy their leisure time.
Institutions which exist in the adult-world (e.g. post office, town hall, shops, Media Park etc.) are modelled as realistic as possible and are going to be the children’s workplaces.

The small citizens earn money, learn bargaining, cooking, writing articles.

6) DE-SCI 04.13 Empowering volunteers (Friedland) (30/7/2016 - 14/8/2016)
Friedland became the place of the largest German refugee camp after WWII.
In March 1946, the first workcamp took place, in cooperation with the British SCI branch IVSP.
As a result of this engagement SCI Germany was founded. 70 years later,

Friedland has again become a central place of migration history
and a new museum has been created to preserve the memory of the different refugee streams that have passed through there over the decades. In our project we learn about the histories of different refugee streams in Europe, including those refugees who came during the Yugoslavian war.

Beyond that we want to share experiences of supporting refuges in Germany & the Balkans and empower participants with a broader knowledge of underlying mechanisms of refugee movements.

7) DE-SCI 10.43 Horses in nature protection (Middelburg) (23/7/2016 - 06/8/2016)
The reeds tiled croft of the Teich family is located in the heart of a natural reserve.
That farm is the camp's base and is surrounded by the lake “Middelburger See”.
Currently, the house gets renovated. When finished, the house will be inhabited
and used for several cultural purposes.

8) DE-SCI 10.56 Carpe Diem - Seize the day (Lützensömmern) (29/7/2016-19/8/2016)

The over 4 acres large property needs regular maintenance, renewal and not to be forgotten
expansion of the experiential and environmental education possibilities.
The participants of the workcamp will be guided through various projects,
which still have to be concretized and decided. The aim is to upgrade the attractiveness of the outdoor area.

Study Theme: Ecological reconstruction of the estate; ecological situation in the region;
social and economic changes through the demographic development.

And that's not the end :) We have some more great workcamps where we still need YOUR volunteers :)
